Stan's the man as Te Aroha holds special evening for centenarian.

When Past President Stan Body, an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Te Aroha, New Zealand, turned 100 his club held a special evening to honour him.  Stan was an active member of the Rotary Club of Te Aroha from 1958 to 1998, being recognised as a Paul Harris Fellow in 1985. He instigated woodchopping fund raising workdays and the club is thankful for the hard work he put into his membership and all fund raising. He holds the Legion of Frontiersmen Long Service and Efficiency Medal. He was awarded the Queen's Service Medal in the Birthday Honours List 1978 and the Queen's Silver Jubilee Medal in 1978.

Stan lived independently in his home in Te Aroha and attended indoor bowls. Te Aroha's special evening for Stan saw a Stan Body Special Fund opened and a donation made to The Rotary Foundation in Stan's name.

Stan Joined the Legion of Frontiersmen on 25 March 1942 and was a member of the Te Aroha Troop for many years.
